Macross The Gathering, Singapore
Here are the final details of the event on 22/02/2009 in celebration of the launch of SDF-1, Macross:
Venue: Speaker’s Corner (http://www.nparks.gov.sg/cms/index.php?option=com_visitorsguide&task=parks&id=67&Itemid=73)
I would like to urge everyone to read the terms and conditions regarding usage of the park area before hand (http://www.nparks.gov.sg/cms/pop-up-tc.html).
In the event of rain, please make your way over to Liang Court(River Valley) and gather at the 1st floor. Hopefully, we can find a place to carry on with the event from there.
Time: The main event should start at 10am, and should finish just b4 1pm.
Schedule: Event will start off with everybody joining in for the singing of the Macross theme song. (Lyrics will be sent out by tomorrow, hopefully both original Japanese and Romanised versions will be done by then)
History of the Macross series will be highlighted, followed by a discussion of the most memorable scenes from each series.
(In-between, individuals who wish to sing certain famous Macross songs solo or as a group please reply to this email: terence4649@gmail.com and we will try to work something out)
End of event will be marked with the Macross ED song “Runner”. “Ai” will be a bit tough for most people… Time permitting, we might even do a NiangNiang Medore(Tokumori ver.) XD
Event should finish before lunch so if anyone knows of a Chinese Restaurant called ‘NiangNiang’ please reply.Some side notes: Cosplay from Macross series are more than welcome.
Photographers and videographers are needed as we intent to send footage and pics to Bandai and Big West to show them support from overseas Macross Fans.

Collateral Damage Studios(CDS – http://www.collateralds.com/) has generously contributed an artwork for this event and a limited numberof postcards have been printeed and will be out on a first-come-first-served basis on the day itself.
